Why
Try on loupes in a more realistic setting.

How to Choose Loupes
1.
Find a pair of frames that you like and that feel good/balanced on your face.
2.
Test out different magnifications. And decide how high you want. Generally a good place to start is 3 - 3.5x
3.
Decide whether or not you want a light on your loupes. Keep in mind this will make them heavier.
4.
Get measured for working distance and interpupillary distance by a professional at the fair.
5.
Practice. Practice. Practice!
It may take some time to get acclimated to using loupes.

Guidelines
Loupes Fair
Each company will be provided a table for display in the Simulation Clinic. Set-up will be between 11:00 am and 12:00 pm. Faculty, staff and students who need adjustments and repairs or who would like to order a new pair will be invited to come to the clinic between noon and 1:00 pm. Freshmen dental students will be invited to visit the clinic between 1:00 and 5:00 pm.
Unlike previous years, there will not be a second day for finalizing orders. Having fittings on-site should remove the need for a second day.
For 2020’s fair, we are again offering levels of sponsorship. As a sponsor, your company or group will receive additional exposure which is outlined on the Sponsorship Form. Sponsorship and participation fees are not tax-deductible. A drawing will be held for attendees. If you would like to make a contribution to the drawing, please indicate the item(s) you will bring on the Registration form. We look forward to your participation in the 2020 IASDA Exhibitor’s Fair.
Adjustments
Companies are allowed to come onsite for product adjustments or delivery with preauthorization from the Office for Student Affairs.
If a student, resident, faculty or staff requests to meet on-site regarding adjustments to loupes they have previously purchased, the company representative should contact the college’s Office of Student Affairs (319) 335-7151 to notify them of the on-site meeting. Policies not followed could result in restricted access to opportunities to engage with collegiate students, residents, faculty and staff.
THE COLLEGE OF DENTISTRY DOES NOT ENDORSE ANY PRODUCT, EQUIPMENT OR MATERIAL IDENTIFIED IN A LUNCH AND LEARN OR AT THE VENDOR FAIR.
